Class 1-220’s Classroom Management and Behavioral Plan
We will use a traffic light to monitor student behavior in Class 1-220. We have created a list of rules and guidelines for our classroom that will be strictly enforced. We will use a traffic light to monitor student behavior in Class 1-220. Behavior is imperative to learning. All students will start the day on “green.” If a child makes a poor choice and does not follow a class rule (including in the special classes), they will move up to “yellow” as a warning. If they continue to make poor choices throughout the day then they move up to “red”. Students that are on “red” will fill out a “What Happened?” sheet that they will bring home to get signed by a parent or guardian and it must be returned back to school. We highly recommend asking your child what color they were on each day to monitor your child’s behavior in school. All students will have the opportunity to redeem their behavior throughout the day and move back down to “green”.
Each Student has a Dojo Monster. When a student shows deeper thinking and/or good choices throughout the day they are rewarded with a Dojo point. Once students reach ten Dojo points they are allowed to choose a prize from the treasure box.
